Maggie Jewel Stiles, a devout servant of her faith and tender caretaker of God's creation, was called to eternal rest on April 14, 2024, surrounded by her daughters and her only living sister, at the age of 68.
Born on January 17, 1956, the fifth of seven children, in the nurturing community of Lena, MS. She cultivated a life of humility, grace and love.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Midway Freewill Baptist Church where she served as church secretary, Sunday School teacher, and many other positions until her health declined her. She was a 1974 graduate of South Leake High School.
She was preceded in her journey to eternal peace by her parents; W.F. and Maggie Lee Stiles, her only son; Christopher O'Neal Stiles, sisters; Addie Jones and Maysonlean Patterson, brothers-in-law; C.B. Jones and E.T. Patterson, a nephew; Kenneth Stiles.
Left to treasure her memory, three daughters; Audrey (Wallace) Alexander of Walnut Grove, MS, Alicia (Kasey) Kennedy and Becky Townsend both of Lena, MS. Eleven grandchildren; Carnez, Dorian, Valencia, Aaliyah, Antonio, Christopher, Kaylee, Ashton, Kyrie, Kaysha, and Kayziua. Three brothers, W.F. (Winnie) Stiles of Forest, MS, John (Kathya) Stiles, and Chester (Gloria) Stiles both of Lena, MS. A sister; Linda Gilbert of Lena, MS. Many nieces, nephews, who together, shared in the joys and sorrows of her life lessons and other family and friends.
As we gather together to honor the life of our dearest Maggie, we express our gratitude to the beauty she brought into this world.
