Terry Fox Smith was the youngest son of Junior McKinley (J.M.) and Birdie Gee Smith of Ofahoma, Mississippi.
He attended school in Leake County and graduated from Carthage High School in 1972. Terry went on to Mississippi Valley State University where he received his B.S. degree.
His chosen profession was a plumber and electrician until his he was stricken with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Terry Fox found the love of his life and married Mary L. Cook in May 2004. Mary always called him (Red) and so many friends called him Red instead of Fox.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Merna Llorens, Susie Bell Luckett, and Celeste Luckett, one brother, Ferr Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary L. Smith; one son, Sean (Woody) (Asha) Smith, Jackson, MS: two granddaughters, Orlandria Nicole, and Ovell McKenzie Smith; two sisters, Myra Bell Peyton, Yazoo, MS; Dr. Carriette (Clifford) Weddle, Brown Deer, WI; one brother Gerald (Annie) Smith, Chicago, IL. He leaves five sisters-in-laws, Sheila Walker, Shirley Walker, Helen Walker, Arlen Walker, and Florence Glen, one brother in law, Kenard Walker all of Chicago, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
