The Epitaph of Audrey M. Hutchins
Audrey, affectionately known as "Poo Poo," passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Audrey was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
On August 13, 1968, she entered the world gracefully to the late Henry Clay May and Annie Lee Callahan May in Gulfport, MS, born the sixth child of seven children.
She dedicated her life to Christ in her youthful years and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church; later, she became a member of Center Hill MB Church, where she remained a member until her health declined.
In 1986, she graduated from Thomastown Attendance Center, where she played basketball and met the love of her life, Jerry Frank Hutchins, whom she married in December 1995. She began her profession at Choctaw Maids, later renamed Tyson Foods, Inc., where she was employed for countless years and was loved immensely by her co-workers. She was a beautiful soul, greeting those she loved with a smile and a hug. Her love never wavered; she was a pillar of her community and a helping hand to anyone in need.
Those who transitioned this life before her included her husband, Jerry Frank Hutchins, a daughter; Chasaida R. May, parents; Henry and Annie May, a brother; Clay May, and a son in love, Eric Haynes.
She is survived by her daughters; Jasmine and Shirquerta, a son; Jamal, bonus children; Jerry, LeAndrew, and Shana. Nineteen Grandchildren, her siblings: James May (Ida), Joseph May, Mary Ann May, Sarah Ann May, Thomas May (Dessie), and Janice May Estes (Lewis).
Aunts and Uncles; Betty Dawson, Thelma McMillan, Barbara May, Dean Callahan, Charles May (Margie), and Larry May (Martha).
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dearest friends who also shared the joys and sorrows of her life lessons.
Audrey's death leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her, but her memory will live on the hearts of those she touched.
