Betty Lou (Wilder) Hughes

Ms. Betty Lou (Wilder) Hughes was born on December 30, 1948 to the late Jeffie (Hall) Wilder and Sammie Wilder, Sr. of Carthage, MS.  She attended O. E. Jordan High School in Carthage, MS and later received her Bachelors Degree in teaching at MS Valley State University in Itta Bena, MS.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Dewayne Carzil Hughes in 1981.

In her leisure, she enjoyed watching football, basketball, westerns and HGTV.  She loved spending time with her grandkids.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Shaina Mischelle Wilder of Carthage, MS; three sons, Crandall Cornell Hughes and Scott Avery Hughes (Wille Mae Patrick) of Kosciusko, MS and Shawn Dejuan Hughes (Spring Moore) of Carthage, MS; one sister, Beverly Ann Overstreet of Carthage, MS; one brother, Sammie Wilder, Jr. of Camden, MS, fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
