Cardell Walker, 51, of Carthage, Mississippi, completed his early journey on Monday, September 8, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, surrounded by his wife and family. Born on June 3, 1974, to S.T. and Bessie Luckett Walker.
A 1992 graduate of Thomastown High School, Delly served proudly in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was also a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church where he remained until his death. In 1996, he married the love of his life, Alma Henry, and together they built a loving family.
Delly was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered for his strong will, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Alma; children, LaKeisha McMahan, Benford Keyon Henry, Shannon Henry, and Derria Henry; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Zion, Elias, Kaliyah, Niko, Nova, Jordynn, and Na’imah; parents, S.T. and Bessie Luckett Walker; siblings, Juanita Hutchins and Sammie Walker (Doug);
He is also survived by his aunts and uncle; Shirley Hughes, Hazel Wilder (Murphy) David Luckett (Linda) and a vast array of nieces and nephews who he loved deeply , 1st cousins, other relatives, and friends.
His brother, Lou Wayne Walker, and his grandparents; Fred and Bessie Stokes Luckett and Sonny and Bertha Walker all preceded him in death.
Rest well, Delly. Your time with us was precious, and we will forever remember your support, fiery spirit, and your love.
