Mr. Eddie Wilson was born on August 18, 1963, to the late Mr. Cliff Wilson, Sr. and Mrs. Susie Mae Earnest Wilson. He peacefully transitioned from this life on Monday, April 27, 2026, at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Eddie received his education in the Scott County School District and was a proud graduate of Morton High School, Class of 1981. Following graduation, he began a dedicated career with Koch Foods, where he faithfully served for 31 years. Throughout his tenure, Eddie exemplified a strong work ethic and formed many meaningful and lasting friendships.
He was a devoted member of Blutcha Church of God in Christ, where he found spiritual guidance, strength, and fellowship.
Eddie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, grilling, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. His presence was a source of warmth, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
On August 5, 2005, Eddie was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Carolyn L. Evans. Their union was marked by quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering devotion, built on a foundation of patience and understanding.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Carolyn L. Wilson; six children: Demetric Wilson (Bobbie) of Philadelphia, Mississippi; Eddie Wilson, Jr. of Decatur, Mississippi; Ebonek Wilson of Meridian, Mississippi; Makeba Williams of Houston, Texas; Samuel Evans (Kenisha) and Quayteace Evans, both of Lena, Mississippi.
He is also survived by four sisters: Helen Wilson of Lena, Mississippi; Mable Wilson of Carthage, Mississippi; Cassandra Nicks (C.L.) of Hillsboro, Mississippi; and Linda Wilson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two brothers: James Gilbert (Georgia) of Forest, Mississippi and Otis Johnson (Hazel) of Gary, Indiana; twenty-seven grandchildren; and a vast array of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends.
Eddie also leaves to cherish his memory special friends, Mr. Horace Ragsdale, Howard Shaw, and his nephew, James “Chris” Gilbert.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Earnest Gilbert, Clifton Wilson, Jr., and Kimble Wilson; his sisters, Brenda Townsend and Katherine Gilbert; two nephews, Prentiss “Spook” Wilson and Lance Wilson; and one niece, Stacy Wilson.
Eddie’s legacy of love, strength, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
