Jerome Henry, 59 of Carthage, Mississippi passed away on November 20, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with illnesses. Jerome was born on November 7,1966 to Maxine Stokes Henry and Cleveland Henry Jr. in Carthage, Ms. After Jerome graduated from Carthage High School in 1985, he went on to become a skilled concrete finisher.
Jerome later became an entrepreneur until his health failed. He was admired for his dedication skill and willingness to help others. Jerome spent his career pouring driveways, parking lots, homes, and businesses. Leaving a legacy of quality craftsmanship on homes and businesses across Leake County and Jackson, MS. His co-workers loved him for his easy smile, quick jokes, and ability to make even the hardest days a little lighter.
At the age of 27 Jerome met and later married Robin Luckett of Carthage and to the family unit five children were born. Lafredrick Henry, Jerome Henry, Joseph Henry, LaDarius Henry, and Jayana Henry all of Carthage, Mississippi.
He is survived by his stepmother Betty, five children Lafredrick (Mikeysha) Henry, Jerome Henry, Joseph (Kaitlyn) Henry, LaDarius Henry, and Jayana Henry all of Carthage, MS. Three sisters, Cathie Henry Carthage, MS, Tracie (Fredrick) Lyles Jackson, MS, Marie McWilliams Carthage, MS and three brothers Johnny (Willie) Henry Carthage, MS, Anthony (Latonya) Henry Brandon, MS, Eric Boone Hattiesburg, MS.
Jerome is predeceased by both of his parents Maxine Stokes Henry and Cleveland Henry Jr. and one sister Linda Henry.
Jerome will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the steady love he showed to everyone in his life with his unwavering commitment to his family and friends. In his free time Jerome loved to barbecue, fry fish, smoke turkeys, and everybody knows he loved to dress.
