Minister Jimmy Earl Mitchell was born October 05, 1966 to the late L.C. and Mother Louise Mitchell in Scott County, Mississippi. He was the tenth of eleven children. He began and completed his education at Morton High School.
Jimmy Earl Mitchell confessed Christ at an early age, while attending Blutcha Church of God in Christ. He served as a deacon and later a minister. Jimmy was a devoted church member, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories: four sons Jimmy Lavell Mitchell (Alicia) of Lena, MS, Jerrell Zacchalus Mitchell of Jackson, MS, Jeremy Dejuan Mitchell of Morton, MS and Jimmy Earl Mitchell, Jr. of Chicago, IL; two brothers: Frankie Lee Mitchell (Brenda) of Lena, Mississippi and Marlo Terrell Mitchell (Flory) of London, Ohio; five sisters: Bettye Johnson Gilbert of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sarah Clayton (Kenneth) of Carthage, Mississippi, Barbara Ann Johnson (Otis) of Forest, Mississippi, Bertha Anderson Patrick of Lena, Mississippi, Vera Ann Griffin (Lou) of Lena, Mississippi and Carolyn Laknett Wilson (Eddie) of Lena, Mississippi and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother: L.C. and Mother Louise Mitchell and three sisters: Dorothy Townsend, Gracie Reed, and Anna Jean Jackson.
